Las Palmas president Miguel Ángel Ramírez has said he’d love to have Pedri back at the club but doesn’t really think there’s much chance of it happening.

The 17-year-old has only just arrived at Barcelona from the Canary Islanders and has spoken of his desire to stay with the first team for next season.

The Las Palmas chief told the club’s radio station “if there’s a chance, we’d do everything possible to bring him in” but also added “I believe they are going to count on the boy.”

Pedri has already attracted plenty of interest without even kicking a ball yet for Barcelona.

He’s openly admitted to receiving offers and added he would be happy to head out on loan “if I don’t get a chance here.”
