Barcelona have reportedly set their sights on Sevilla defender Jules Koundé but are aware that it will be very difficult to land the 21-year-old.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalans have liked the youngster for a while but were blown away by his performance against Inter in the Europa League final.

The only problem is that he has a buyout clause of €75m and said after the final he was not looking for a move away and wanted to stay at Sevilla.

All of which means that Kounde is not likely to head to Barcelona any time soon but is thought to be “an objective” for the future.

Barcelona’s current plan for their central defence is to bring in Eric Garcia from Manchester City, promote Ronald Araujo to the first-team squad and sell Samuel Umtiti.
