Luis Suarez looks set to leave Barcelona for Atletico Madrid after further talks on Tuesday aimed at resolving the striker’s future.
There’s been plenty of speculation about the Uruguay international in recent days and weeks, but the latest update suggests he will now sign for Atletico on a two-year deal.
Cope are reporting Suarez and Barcelona met again on Tuesday to terminate his contact ahead of a move to the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
Suarez is expected to sign a two-year deal with Diego Simeone’s side. There doesn’t appear to be a transfer fee involved but Atleti will pay in variables depending on certain objectives being achieved.
The 33-year-old is expected to complete his move shortly. Atletico have already confirmed Alvaro Morata has completed his move to Serie A champions Juventus.
