Barcelona seem to be closing in on a move for Ajax full-back Sergino Dest and could beat Bayern Munich to the teenager’s signature, according to the latest reports.

Catalunya Radio are reporting the Catalan giants have reached an agreement for Dest and will pay €20 million plus €5m in variables,

Barca are financing the deal after selling Nelson Semedo to Wolves, and it seems they may have been helped because Dest is a Barca fan and would prefer to move to the Camp Nou.

Mundo Deportivo report that Barca could actually take Dest on loan for the first season and say the youngster is keen to work under Ronald Koeman at Barcelona.

Dest will replace Semedo in the squad. The Portugal international has already say goodbye to Barcelona with a post on Instagram and his move should be announced today.

Barca may have to wait a little longer before Dest’s future is finally confirmed, but it is starting to look as though he will be Koeman’s first signing as Barca boss.
