Barcelona are reportedly “very close” to selling Ousmane Dembele to Manchester United for a fee of around €50 to 60 million.

According to AS, Barca are “willing to let Dembele” go and would also be happy to have the Frenchman off the wage bill.

The club would use part of the funds brought in from Dembele’s sale to bring in Memphis Depay from Lyon who is reportedly a top target of Ronald Koeman’s.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho all summer but are struggling to complete a deal for the England international.

Mundo Deportivo’s Francesc Aguilar has backed up the report on Twitter, although RAC1’s Gerard Romero isn’t quite as certain.

He brings news that Barcelona are denying having received an offer from Manchester United and reckon any move would only be a loan. Romero also reports that Dembele is not thinking about leaving.

Yet he also points out that Barca do still need to bring in money and reduce the wage bill and claims anything could happen between now and the close of the transfer window.
