The never-ending Lionel Messi saga is the biggest story in football right now as the greatest player of all-time wants to leave Barcelona. There are a lot of takes going around from many people, and even one of Messi’s biggest rivals has a take. And a surprising one at that.

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos spoke to the press as he’s currently training with the Spanish national team for the return of the UEFA Nations League, and he was asked about the Messi situation. Ramos’ response? He wants Messi to stay.

Yup.

“It’s something that we’re not focused on but the player has earned the right to be able to decide on his future. Having said that, for the Spanish game and for Barca and for the rest of us, we’d like him to stay as we always want the best around.”

Wait... do I... agree... with Sergio Ramos? Something must be wrong.
