Barcelona ready to set Arturo Vidal free

The Chile midfielder is reportedly heading to Inter

Barcelona will reportedly let Arturo Vidal walk for free. The Chilean midfielder still has a year remaining on his current deal. However, Barca apparently will agree to a deal with him that lets him leave the club without a transfer fee.

The move shows some good faith towards Vidal and clears out more salary for Barca to maintain a bit of flexibility. The thought is that he’s going to head to Inter Milan for a reunion with Antonio Conte.

The Barca cleaning project continues with the assumed Rakitic exit. Ivan Rakitic’s move to Sevilla and Luis Suarez’s assumed move to Juventus are two of the other high-profile Barca players to exit as well. The house cleaning Ronald Koeman continues his reign. Now we just have to hope he doesn’t accidentally clean out Lionel Messi in the process.
