Goalkeeper Inaki Pena is reportedly aiming to leave Barcelona in the January transfer window and wants a loan move so he can enjoy some regular football elsewhere.
Pena hasn’t managed a single minute yet in the first team this season and it seems Barcelona have agreed to help him find a way out this winter.
According to Diario Sport, Pena had a few offers in the summer but coach Ronald Koeman refused to sanction a departure because Marc-Andre ter Stegen was out injured.
The German has now returned from his knee injury and it seems that’s helped change Koeman’s mind and he’s willing to let Pena leave and try to find minutes at another club.
There are no teams mentioned as yet, although the report reckons that a move to Granada is unlikely even though the club were interested in the summer.
Pena is believed to be keen to stay in La Liga and there are apparently already a few clubs interested in taking on the 22-year-old for the second half of the campaign.
