Barcelona vice president Rafa Yuste has confirmed the club are set to announce that Ansu Fati has extended his contract at the Camp Nou.

There are rumors Fati will put pen to paper after Wednesday’s Champions League game against Dynamo Kiev and an official ceremony will take place on Thursday.

Yuste was quizzed about the speculation before kick-off at the Camp Nou and told fans to expect good news shortly, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.

It’s thought Fati will sign on at Barcelona for another five seasons and he’ll follow in Pedri’s footsteps and also have a 1 billion euro release clause in his new deal.

Fati started Wednesday’s must-win game against Dynamo Kiev on the bench with Barca taking no risks with the youngster after his return from a long injury lay-off.

The move suggests Fati will be back in the starting XI for Barca’s third crunch game this week on Sunday when Real Madrid visit the Camp Nou for El Clasico.
