Despite another poor result in the league against a rival, Ronald Koeman’s job is reportedly still not in danger. Up to this point, Barca has stayed consistent with what they’ve said about Koeman being the guy for the job this year.
Sunday’s result means Koeman still hasn’t beaten Los Blancos since taking charge and has seen the Catalans slip five points behind Los Blancos in the table after only nine games played.
The next three matches against Rayo Vallecano, Alaves, and Dynamo Kiev are apparently going to weigh quite heavily in the future of the Dutchman. The club should compete if not win all three of those matches with the current slate of talent they have at their disposal.
In another two weeks if those results haven’t gone as planned, the reports may be singing a different tune. So far, it seems like we’re going to be going on this every two weeks we evaluate Koeman news cycle for the foreseeable future.
