Barcelona & Madrid eye Ibrahima Konaté
Barcelona and Real Madrid may both have huge debuts but that doesn’t seem to worry the rumor mill at all with rumors the duo are willing to spend big on RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konaté.
The two clubs actually wanted Dayot Upamecano, but he’s on his way to Bayern, so instead have turned their interest to his 21-year-old team-mate instead, according to AS.
Konate has a release clause of €45 million but the report reckons a bid of €25m or €30m could be enough.
Madrid want to replace Raphael Varane, while Barca’s defensive issues mean they continue to get linked with pretty much every defender available.
Barca close in on ‘Austrian Messi’
The rumor mill also loves coming up with the latest and newest Lionel Messis from all over the globe.
This time there’s a brand new Messi in Austria and his name is Yusuf Demir.
According to reports in Germany, Barca are close to landing Demir and have stepped up their interest ever since Joan Laporta was re-elected as president.
Barca are hoping they can beat Bayern, Dortmund and Manchester United & City to Demir and could snap up the 17-year-old midfielder for around €6-8m.
