Las Palmas president Miguel Ángel Ramírez has been talking about Pedri and how much the 18-year-old could end up costing Barcelona.

Pedri already looks an absolute bargain after coming in and making himself a regular in Ronald Koeman’s team. He’s also just been called up to the senior Spain squad.

Ramirez says Las Palmas have so far received about €11 million for Pedri and could end up with double that amount in the future.

“From the day we’ve made the sale of Pedri until today, we’ve collected about €11m. Once all the clauses are met, it could reach up to €22m-€23m. We also get 15% of a future sale,” he said.

“Barça is the one that counted on Pedri the most. There was another club from Spain that had offered more money, but we kept our word. He has gone to the perfect club and is now playing with the best player in the world.”

Even if Barca do end up paying €23m for Pedri it’s still a great price for a player who looks set to be a regular fixture in midfield at the Camp Nou for a very long time to come.
