Joan Laporta is making himself comfortable as the new Barcelona president. There are certain guarantees that were made in order to get his appointment into an official status.

However, according to reports, those specific financial guarantees only last a certain period of time. Much of the precursory information that came out amidst the presidential election cycle was who Laporta wanted to bring in this summer.

A report from AS looked at the six players that Laporta has on his transfer board this summer. Erling Haaland, Sergio Aguero, Memphis Depay, Eric Garcia, David Alaba, and Georginio Wijnaldum are all names that we’re familiar with being linked Barca.

It’s also worth noting that five of those six names are available on a free transfer this summer. This obviously points to Barcelona’s fiduciary situation heading into the transfer window.

The report also reckons that Barca’s players may also have to accept more pay cuts this summer if the club are to successfully strengthen the squad.
