Ousmane Dembele’s future at Barcelona is once again the subject of speculation with the Frenchman all over the front page of Diario Sport on Saturday with a headline that doesn’t really need translating.
The Catalan daily reports the forward has not responded to a contract renewal offer made two weeks ago which has led the club to “suspect” he wants to see out his current deal that expires in 2022.
If that’s the case then Barca will look for a buyer in the summer to avoid losing Dembele for absolutely nothing and could sell for around €50-60 million.
The Serie A giants are said to be “very interested” and would have “no problem waiting a year” for Dembele to make the move to Turin. There’s also a suggestion Dembele could get a pay rise with Juve.
Ronald Koeman said recently that he hopes Dembele stays at Barcelona, but the club’s financial situation means they may have no choice but to put him up for sale if he doesn’t renew.
