Diario Sport reported this week that Barcelona are looking at Liverpool’s Jürgen Klopp as a potential Ronald Koeman replacement. While most Barça fans would like to admit that Klopp is a great manager, there is a bit of baggage given a certain evening in the Champions League two years ago.

Klopp and Liverpool are in the midst of a pretty disappointing season in the Premier League and in the Champions League. The likelihood Klopp would want to leave Liverpool after one lackluster season isn’t likely, and his agent recently stressed he wouldn’t want to leave the Reds anytime soon.

The German’s contract runs till 2024 and even if Barça wanted him the “economic issues” that are discussed in the report would plague their chances.
