Pep Guardiola has all but confirmed once again that Sergio Aguero is heading to Barcelona and also seems convinced that Lionel Messi is staying at the Camp Nou.

The Manchester City striker spoke about the striker following his final Premier League game for the Citizens on Sunday against Everton.

Aguero came off the bench to score twice in a 5-0 win, claiming the record for the most Premier League goals for a single club along the way.

Guardiola spoke about Aguero’s future after the match:

“I’m pretty sure - maybe I reveal a secret - he is close to agreeing a deal for the club of my heart, for Barcelona,” he said.

“He is going to be playing alongside the best player of all time, Lionel Messi.

“I’m pretty sure he is going to enjoy. And maybe Barcelona are stronger and stronger with him on the pitch.”

Aguero is expected to sign a two-year deal at Barcelona fairly shortly. According to Fabrizio Romano, the striker will complete his move after the Champions League final on Saturday.
