Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt has responded to speculation that Barcelona are keen to bring him to the Camp Nou this summer.
There have been rumors the defender is unsettled in Turin and regrets choosing the Serie A side over Barca when he left Ajax.
De Ligt has played down the speculation and insists that the Catalan giants have not been in touch to talk about a possible transfer.
“I am very happy at Juve. I feel like a fish in water,” he said.
“I feel good on the pitch and appreciated. Would they let me go? There are plenty of clubs that have money problems, but you should ask the club.
“I don’t know. These [Barcelona rumours] make no sense now. That is not important to me and nobody has informed me about it.”

The Barca defense really could do with strengthening but it’s difficult to see how the Catalans could afford to do a deal for De Ligt any time soon due to the club’s huge debts.
Meanwhile, Juventus confirmed a change in manager this week after parting company with Andrea Pirlo. Massimiliano Allegri is back in the hotseat for a second spell in charge.
