Sergio Aguero and Memphis Depay are both “crazy” about signing for Barcelona this summer with both forwards available on free transfers.
The duo have both been heavily linked with a Camp Nou switch and those rumors seem to be growing stronger as the end of the season approaches.
A new report from Mundo Deportivo states that a No. 9 is a priority for Barcelona and it’s unlikely to be Erling Haaland because of his huge price tag.
Aguero and Depay are much more realistic options and are both exciting about the possibility of joining the Catalan giants.
Depay has already been seen house-hunting in Barcelona and met with sporting director, Mateu Alemany recently.
The Dutchman’s been offered “half or slightly more than half” of what was agreed last summer and seems willing to take a pay cut to make the move.
Aguero is seen as an “alternative” and would be happy to finish his career off at Barcelona alongside Lionel Messi.
The Argentine is also willing to reduce his wages to move and is seen as a decent back-up, although the report adds he could be a starter “if his form is very good.”
