Paris Saint-Germain are out of the UEFA Champions League and they are behind in Ligue 1. With their two big stars, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé, about to enter the last year of their respective contracts, they are starting to fret that things could unravel.

That may be why their president, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, has reportedly sent a message to FC Barcelona warning them to leave Neymar alone. Rumors are strong that the Brazilian star is looking to exit Paris and return to Catalonia and reunite with his friend Lionel Messi.

The Catalan press has accused PSG of hypocrisy because they say it was the Parisians who have been sending messages to Messi all along. The rumors over the past few months spoke of a charm offensive from PSG to try to lure Messi to France, and of huge offers being made to the Argentine star.

PSG’s sporting director, Leonardo, admitted that they would be negotiating for Messi, while Argentina players like Leandro Paredes and Ángel Di María openly talked about their national team captain joining them in Paris.
