One of the more disappointing additions in the last couple of years at Barcelona has been Miralem Pjanic. The midfielder arrived at Barca with expectations of being a consistent piece of the puzzle. His playing time hasn’t been equal with the salary he receives, and it doesn’t make sense for both parties to stick it out.
Barca, having paid €60m for Pjanic, likely won’t be able to recover the entire sum of payment for him. However, a loan deal may help to recover some of his value before a permanent move takes place.
Two of the clubs that are reportedly interested in Pjanic are Chelsea and Inter Milan. Both clubs were linked with him in the past and a chance at getting the veteran on a discount may appeal to the Serie A winners and Champions League finalists.
