Barcelona have already been linked with dozens of players this summer but the name of Aymeric Laporte keeps on cropping up.

The latest update comes from Diario Sport who reckon the center-back wants to swap Manchester City for Barcelona and is “putting pressure” on the Premier League champions to let him move.

Laporte knows it will be a tricky transfer to pull off because of Barcelona’s financial situation and his price tag but is still willing to “do everything in his power” to make a move happen.

The center-back is thinking that some kind of swap deal might be the way to go and is “ready for a change of scene” after losing his place in the Man City starting XI.

Laporte is also said to be keen to “lead” the Barcelona defense which has struggled in recent seasons and continued to look vulnerable once again 2020-21.

Barcelona have already signed Eric Garcia and Sergio Aguero after their contracts with City expired and have been rumored to be interested in several other Citizens including Ilkay Gundogan, Raheen Sterling, and Joao Cancelo. Meanwhile, Sergi Roberto has been linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City, like Barcelona, do appear keen to overhaul their squad this summer, and there have been reports Laporte has been told he can leave if a suitable offer arrives.
