Barcelona look set to miss out on Netherlands international midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum with the midfielder reportedly now heading for Paris Saint-Germain.
A deal to bring Wijnaldum to the Camp Nou on a free transfer looked to be all signed, sealed and (pretty much) delivered until PSG intervened.
Indeed there were even reports Barca were set to send their staff to the Dutch training camp to complete a medical for Wijnaldum.
Yet the latest update suggests the midfielder has now opted to move to PSG instead after receiving a bigger financial offer from the Ligue 1 side.
PSG offered Wijnaldum more than doubled salary and Gini accepted during the night.

Joan Laporta did promise more transfer news after unveiling Eric Garcia, saying at the press conference “next week there will be more news.” It had been thought that deals for Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay would be announced but that no longer seems the case.
Barcelona’s move for Wijnaldum always seemed a little curious given the options already in the squad and it’s not clear if they will now look for other midfield targets or stick with what they have already.
