Miralem Pjanic has been widely tipped to leave Barcelona after just one season with the Catalan giants and it seems a return to Serie A could be on the cards for the 31-year-old.

According to Sport, Roma, Inter and Juventus have all made offers to Barcelona to take the midfielder on loan for next season.

The only potential sticking point is that Pjanic would have to take a pay cut to secure moves to any of the three clubs interested.

The report adds that conversations with Pjanic have revealed he “only wants to return to Italy” but also that “he is not willing to earn less than he is currently earning at FC Barcelona.”

All of which means that there’s currently something of a standoff going on. Barca are said to be willing to “take action,” although it’s not entirely clear what the Catalan giants plan to do.

There had been previous reports that Barca had offered to let Pjanic and Umtiti go for free but that neither player had been particularly keen on the idea.
