Arsenal are reportedly very interested in signing Neto this summer and are “determined” to land the Brazilian. The Barcelona goalkeeper hasn’t gotten all that much playing time and has been looking for a way out for some time.

The Gunners have a few existing goalkeepers in the squad, but Neto is the man they want to lead the backline because they think he’s pretty good with the ball at his feet too.

According to the report, Neto worked hard for a move to north London in the January transfer window, but a deal just didn’t come to fruition as Barca turned down his transfer request.

All of which leads us here. Neto could start the season with Barca in the starting XI if he stays, as Marc-Andre ter Stegen is expected to miss out with injury, but is otherwise unlikely to get the playing he needs, while Mikel Arteta believes he’s found the keeper he wants for the Gunners. Seems like it should be simple enough. We’ll just wait and see at this point.
