Getafe president Angel Torres says Carles Alena wants to seal a permanent move to his club and he’s hopeful a deal can be done with Barcelona.
Alena spent the second half of last season on loan at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez, and it looks like he may now be heading there permanently.
Here’s what Torres has had to say:
“Aleñá’s operation is pending on Messi’s. The boy wants to come to Getafe and Barcelona knows it. I think it will have a happy ending,” he said. “I am negotiating directly with Barcelona and I hope Aleñá is here before we go to La Manga.”

The report adds Alena could go for a fee of around €8 million and Barca may decide to include a buyback option in the deal.
Alena’s contract expires in 2022 and it always seemed he might move after struggling to make an impact at Barca and heading out on loan twice to Real Betis and Getafe.
The midfielder therefore looks set to be the latest player to leave as the summer overhaul continues ahead of the new La Liga campaign.
