The 18-year-old moves on a temporary deal, although the Catalan giants do have the option to make the transfer permanent.
Here’s the club’s official statement:
“FC Barcelona and SK Rapid Vienna have reached an agreement on the loan of Yusuf Demir for the 2021/22 season,” read a club statement
“Barça is paying 500,000 euros for the operation and holds a non-mandatory option to purchase for 10 million.”

Demir will initially join Barcelona B but the purchase option suggests he could have a long-term future at the club if he can impress with Sergi Barjuan’s side.
The youngster is a creative midfielder who has already become a regular at Rapid Vienna despite only turning 18 at the start of June.
A host of top clubs including Bayern, Manchester City, Dortmund, and Manchester United had all been linked with Demir but he’s now chosen the Camp Nou as his next home.
