Heralded as one of the brightest talents to emerge through the ranks at La Masia in recent years, Gerard Deulofeu left FC Barcelona this summer in search of first-team football in the English Premier League, joining Everton FC on a season-long loan deal. Speculation was abound regarding potential clauses in the loan deal, with details never officially confirmed by either club and in recent weeks, there have been rumours surrounding Deulofeu’s future.
Of course, a player of his talent was never going to leave Barcelona on a permanent basis – he has all the attributes to become a star at the club, even if Everton were willing to break the bank, Barcelona could never entertain the idea of a sale. However, there were suggestions that Everton were keen to keep Deulofeu for another season – and throwaway remarks in Spanish newspapers lent some weight to the deal being extended.
Even if Roberto Martinez has been rather reluctant to hand Deulofeu an extended run in the starting line-up, the Catalan winger has been one of the brightest talents in the league, dazzling the fans with four goals and five assists in just 1099 minutes of action. The undoubted highlight of his loan spell was a sensational goal against Arsenal FC, as Deulofeu changed the game in a memorable substitute appearance.
While many thought he would be receptive to the idea of staying on Merseyside, it seems as though Deulofeu will be returning to the Camp Nou this summer. With the Premier League season concluded, Deulofeu’s latest tweet appears to hint that his time at Everton has indeed come to an end.
It's been an unforgettable experience. Thanks to all the players ! BLUES!!! pic.twitter.com/rvfubPOdWh

What do you think Culés, can we take this as confirmation that Deulofeu be returning to the Barcelona squad this summer, or are we reading too much into it?
