PSG have won the Paul Pogba transfer race for the fee of about €80 million, according to Goal.com at least.

The interest from Paris is real. PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi confirmed talks with the young Frenchman are indeed ongoing, but nothing else has come forth as far as official confirmation. There's reason to be skeptical of this transfer.

There's first a sporting issue. Juventus are arguably a better team than PSG, at least if you consider who is still in the Champions League and who is not. Would Pogba leave Juve for a team that's not an upgrade? Well, possibly, if there was enough money in it... but it's something to think about.

The offer, however, seems a bit low. You'll recall we reported on Barcelona's attempts to nab Pogba before. Here's a link if you missed it.

We were told that Barcelona offered €78 million plus a player worth at least €12 million for Pogba, an offer Juventus rejected.

So if €90+ million was not enough, why would just 80 do? The reality is there's very little reason to think it will, unless PSG also offered other players or some REALLY nice boeuf bourguignon in addition to the cash.

Paris have more money than Scrooge McDuck, and it's surely attractive for them to have the world's best, or at least most expensive, French player. But this deal in itself does not seem likely.
